Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of ‘F’ to be shown in Trini theaters

Dragon ball Z Trinidad

In Japan going out to the theater to watch an anime movie is just as common as it is to go watch the next avengers movie here in the west. There culture is a lot more accepting of public consumption of anime, and as anime and manga become even more popular across the globe it was only a matter of time until we started getting anime in theaters. Countries like Canada and the United states have already embraced anime in theaters while we here in Trinidad and Tobago waited patiently. We knew it was only a matter of time before we too had the opportunity to experience all the biggest and best anime movies on the big screen with fellow fans.

Well I’m happy to inform you that the wait is over fellow Trini anime fan. Movie Towne Trinidad has listed the upcoming Dragon ball Z movie, (Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F) on the coming soon section of their website. This is a dream come true for us anime fans on this island, and I know that every showing of the movie is going to be packed with familiar faces. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a lot of the anime fans in this country thanks to all the conventions that I get to attend here on behalf of this wonderful website, so I already expect to see some great blue hair cosplay, join in heated conversations about the show and of course that glorious atmosphere that only anime fans coming together can offer.

There is already an event page on Facebook which is organizing groups of  fans who wish to see the movie together.

It’s first showing will be on August 19th 2015 at all three Movie Towne theaters in Trinidad and Tobago. Which are located in Port of Spain, Chaguanas, and Tobago respectively.

I look forward to watching this, and hopefully many more anime movies with great company in the theaters here in Trinidad and Tobago.

  1. The showing lands on my sister’s birthday. I’m a bit bummed that the new series is retelling the story of the recent movies. Seems like a waste to recycle ideas.

    1. It’s a bit of a waste, but I’m happy to have a bit more DBZ in my life. I’m hoping they continue the series to a point where characters like trunks and goten develop new abilities
