Halloween Madness Comes to GW2!

Halloween has always been one of my favorite little seasonal events for Guild Wars 2. It’s a time when Mad King Oswald Thorn, his son, and their Lunatic Court and minions return to the realm of mortals to wreak havoc on Tyria. In the game itself, this means the city of Lion’s Arch gets a neat, creepy overhaul to it and the game is filled with several different mini-games to complete.

In this New Tyrian Adventures episode, I take the time to showcase three of the events for you all to enjoy. First up is the Mad King’s Labyrinth – a dungeon of sorts filled with all sorts of creatures and crazy bosses (such as the zany Grand High Viscount of Candy Corn), and a darn good way to earn some quick money in the game. Next, I attempt (and fail rather badly!) at the Mad King’s Clock Tower – a timed, hectic jumping puzzle with some goodies to be gained at the very top. And, finally, my good friend Malice Wonderland and a friend of hers assist me in completing “Ascent into Madness” – a boss fight against the legendary Mad King himself. All said and done, it was a great time!

This year, the event has coincided with the release of Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns, but you don’t need to own the expansion to participate. In fact, there really isn’t any tie between the HoT content and the Halloween event.

Of course, this video doesn’t show you everything…There’s still “Mad King Says” and a PvP match (if it is still in the game?) that you can see as well.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little showcase and stay tuned – more fun is on the horizon!
