Samorost 3 is out now for Windows, PC and Mac!
From the makers of Machinarium and Botanicula, Amanita Design has released a “loose follow-up” to the original indie title Samorost 1 and 2, which were point-and-click adventure/puzzle games about a space gnome who uses the powers of a mysterious flute to travel through space in search for it’s origins.
Supposedly, this is their most ambitious project yet, with this game being a combination of their previous games in terms of game mechanics and overall feel. I am inclined to agree, since this game reminds me a lot of Machinarium, which I liked a lot. The beautiful artwork along with the music and unique sound design make for the kind of game that I might fall in love with in the same way that I did with this developer’s previous work.
The game is out now on Steam, GOG, the Humble Store, the Mac App Store and the game’s official website for $19.99 USD. The game is expected to launch on iOS and Android later on this year. Here’s a trailer showing off what the game looks like. I do recommend you all at least look at it and see if this is something for you; it really is a sight to behold.
