A new browser-based emulator called 3DNES is, as the name implies, capable of making your NES games look as if they were made in 3D. Add that with the sprite animations and it results in an interesting stop-motion kind of image that is definitely worth witnessing. The beta for the emulator is already available to the public and only runs on the Firefox browser. In addition to that you will also need a URL link to an NES ROM if want to be able to play something on the emulator.
It’s still in Beta, so it’s a little rough, but some games like Megaman, Dr. Mario and Contra look pretty awesome. In any case, it’s free, so it doesn’t hurt to try.
