Persona 5 English Release Date is Feb. 14, 2017! Special Editions Announced!

Well folks, we have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that the North American English release of Persona 5 will not be coming out in this year. The good news is that now we at least know the precise release date, which is Valentine’s Day of next year. Along with that, Atlus has also announced that there will be a PS4-exclusive “Take Your Heart” Premium Edition, which contains the following:

  • A 64-page hardcover art book full of P5 artwork
  • A 4-inch plush Morgana figurine
  • An official Steelbook collectible case for the game
  • A soundtrack CD, composed by the always awesome Shoji Meguro
  • A school bag modeled after Japanese-style school bags, bearing the Shujin Academy crest
  • Boxed in a really big, P5 themed box to keep it all in
  • The cost will be $89.99

The PS4 version will have a special pre-order/day one run of the game that has the Steelbook case that the Premium Edition has. The base game will cost $59.99, while the PlayStation 3 version will run you $49.99.

It’s a bummer that we’ll have to wait slightly longer than the Japanese release, but I don’t mind waiting just a little bit more in order to get an awesome game. I was super prepared to add this game into my 2016 Games of the Year list, but I guess I can settle for 2017.

  1. Just to clarify this is the US release date. EU has been pushed until Q1 2017 with no date confirmed as of yet. Also the EU will not (at the minute) be getting the different editions.
