PlayStation Plus August 2016

PREVIEW_SCREENSHOT1_103503This month’s PlayStation Plus games definitely feel like another summer month where Sony doesn’t expect you to notice the light offerings because you’re too busy playing outside. Still, give Rogue Galaxy and Yakuza 5 a try, and live out all your Japanese gangster space pirate fantasies.

Tricky Towers, PS4

Basically a colorful combination of Tetris and Jenga, this could be a lot of fun with a  couch full of friends. Supports 4 players locally or online.

Rebel Galaxy, PS4

Space is cool.

Pirates are awesome.

Space Pirates? Friggin’ fantastic. It’s just a shame this great looking swashbuckling space adventure is offered on Plus the same month No Man Sky comes out.

Yakuza 5, PS3

Check out our review here!

Retro/Grade, PS3

Have you ever wanted to use your plastic guitar to control a spaceship shooting other spaceships while flying backwards in time? This is your game.

Patapon 3, PS Vita

I still hear Pata Pata Pata Pon in my dreams from the first two.

Ultratron, PS Vita, PS3, PS4

You’ll play as a humanoid battle robot that kills other robots to avenge the extinction of the human race in this multi-platform twin stick shooter.

Which games are you looking forward to playing? Please let me know in the comments! As always, you can hear more about my thoughts on these and other games on my weekly podcast, Plug and Play.
