Sniper Ghost Warrior 3

Ever since my introduction to Snipers in my first real FPS game Battlefield 2142 roughly around 2004 to 2005 I have been obsessed with Snipers and that once again brought my attention to Sniper Ghost Warrior 3.

The way snipers move, slowly, precisely, silently, and most importantly deadly. Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 not only allows for that but also demands that you become an elite Sniper. You play as an American sniper dropped behind enemy lines in Georgia, near the Russian border. Ruthless warlords have taken over part of the area and it falls on you to prevent the entire country from collapsing into chaos.

Be a Sniper: Engage your targets from the long range. Factor in scope elevation, wind speed and direction, breath control and stance along with weapon and bullet choice.

Be a Ghost: Stalk your enemies and eliminate them silently with a broad variety of takedowns. The advanced stealth gameplay includes drone recon and vertical navigation.

Be a Warrior: Wield a wide variety of advanced weapons and modify them to suit the needs of your mission and your own personal style. Choose from assault rifles, shotguns, machine guns and even explosives.

A completely revamped set of tools is being brought to SGW 3, from a completely open world concept that allow you to see it, get there and try and Snipe your targets. Along with the open world aspect of SGW 3 which is new to the series, they have also introduced many other gadgets with amazing precision unmatched by other games.

The gadget I had the honor of trying out was the Drone, the drone is remote controlled from a safe distance and in the demo I tried could mark targets on your map so you could stalk your prey from the safety that the sky offers you. The thing that I did notice was that the AI is very smart and will see the drone if you get to low in certain areas.

Along with the drones the different scopes and calibers of your weapons all plays into how you play, if you have a higher caliber and amazing scope you can pick off enemies from far distances, but if you don’t you may have to get a little closer and potentially have a hand to hand combat OR pistol duel as you both try dodging.

As some of you may know, Myself and Q played Sniper Elite 2 a few years ago and we couldn’t get over the bullet shot camera, I must say that SGW 3 has a improved and more realistic bullet cam and it’s AMAZING to watch your enemies inners become outters as your bullet tears them apart.
