Hand of Fate 2 Announced for PlayStation 4
In an announcement sure to excite PlayStation players, Defiant Development revealed they will release Hand of Fate 2 on PlayStation 4 in the first quarter of 2017 alongside the previously-announced Xbox One and PC versions. Like the original Hand of Fate, which has more than 2.2 million downloads, the sequel’s dark fantasy world will be built through collectible cards laid out by a magical dealer, creating a tabletop experience filled with high-octane third-person combat, dangerous exploration, tense mini-games and Dungeons & Dragons-style decision making.
One of the most significant changes to Hand of Fate 2 will be the addition of powerful companions. One of these new companions, Estrella, is also revealed today. Estrella has a buccaneer look, sporting an eye patch and a flintlock pistol in addition to a sword.
Captain Estrella Fiore is encountered by the player in the midst of her third military campaign to the North. She will be a terror at range, and while her interests align with the player’s, she’ll be a fearsome companion. However should the player find themselves on the wrong side of the Empire, Estrella will have some hard choices to make. On the tabletop, her unwavering persistence will also grant a second attempt during the new Pendulum minigame, designed to test precision and timing.
