I never got the chance to review Thumper during its launch window on PS4, but I recall enjoying it a whole lot, especially in VR. I even recorded a video of my experience with it on my personal channel, which you can take a look at by clicking here.
I wasn’t expecting it, but I was delighted to hear that Thumper, the self appointed “rhythm violence” game will be making an appearance on the Nintendo Switch. It’s coming out on May 18, which is actually right around the corner. It will definitely be interesting to see how it plays and feels with the Switch controls. I don’t imagine it’ll be any different, but I am concerned over how much I’ll actually enjoy it without a VR headset.
In the video that I linked to before, I mention that I had a much more fun and easy time playing in VR than in regular TV mode. I also mention how I found a lot of frustrations playing it TV mode, to the point that the only way that I was willing to play Thumper was in VR, so who knows how I’ll take to the Switch version. Either way, I still think it’s a great game that you should check out if you haven’t already. Having this game on the Switch’s library is a good choice indeed.
