Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA Finally Set To Hit PCs next week?!

How many times have I covered the release and delays for this game on the PC? Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA for the PC was originally supposed to release along with the PS4 and PS Vita versions of the game last year, but due to some issues with the port NIS America choose to delay the release, then later scrapping the delayed release date to have the game worked on by a different development team to make sure that they were able to provide the best version of the game for the PC that they could. Well it seems that the end of the road for this one is near.

The publisher just announced that Adol’s fated adventure on the Isle of Seiren will launch for PC next week on Monday, April 16th, 2018!

This version features the content found in the PlayStation®4 title (including the updated text), and will be available both through Steam and GOG.com.

Those who pick up the release within the first week of launch, and receive the following DLC for free!

  • Adol’s Adventure Essentials DLC
(including the “Silver Armor” and “Adventurer’s Clothes” costumes)
  • Digital Mini Art Book
  • Digital Soundtrack Sampler
  • Laxia’s “Eternian Scholar” Costume

Now I’m sure there are many who have gotten the other versions in wake of the PC versions many delays, but I’ve managed to remain excited for this version despite playing and reviewing both other versions of the game. Why? Well, it’s simple really. I love playing JRPGs on my PC, and look forward to seeing how this port holds up on the platform.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA is also scheduled to release for the Nintendo Switch on June 26, 2018 in North America and June 29, 2018 in Europe.
