Yonder Making It’s Way To Switch This Month

When I first picked up Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles I didn’t expect it to fall in love with it. In fact I didn’t expect much from it. I intended to play it for a few hours, draft a review then move on to my next task. Well… That didn’t happen, because the game is brilliant, and now it’s heading to the Nintendo Switch.

This is an open-world adventure game from the former Activision producer and Rocksteady veterans at Prideful Sloth. The game allows players to explore the vibrant but troubled island of Gemea, while offering a relaxing experience.

For our 2017 Game of the Year I nominated this game with the Quote:

It’s strange knowing what’s gonna be in your game of the year submissions months in advance, and it’s even worse when you have a lot great games to choose from and this is one of the best I’ve played this year. I didn’t expect to fall in love with it as much as I did, but somehow before I knew it I was off wondering in a beautiful land without a care in the world. Things like patches, and getting that new hat was all I cared about for 40 plus hours.

The Switch release will receive an exclusive photo mode which will allow you to capture precious moments and share them with your friends. Along with that, players will also be playable in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles launches for the Nintendo Switch on May 17. The game will retail digitally for $29.99 USD on the eShop. It will later be available via physical retail for $39.99 on June 12 in the United States and June 15 in Europe and Australia. Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is currently available for PC via Steam, and PlayStation 4.
