PES 2019 Lands The Turkish Süper Lig & Scottish Premiership

Konami have announce numerous new leagues for their upcoming entry in their long running football game franchise, but the publisher also stated that more leagues were to be announced. They recently announced two of those leagues along with some more club partnerships. The leagues in question are the Turkish Süper Lig and Scottish Premiership. With these acquisitions Konami gains access to teams including Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe.

Süper Lig

Established in 1959, the Süper Lig sees eighteen clubs compete for the title, including the likes of Galatasaray A.Ş., Fenerbahçe A.Ş., Beşiktaş A.Ş. and Trabzonspor A.Ş. The Süper Lig is regarded as one of the most competitive leagues in the world, with its passionate fans and ear-splitting match days showcasing hotly-contested matches every week. Only five teams have ever won the league since its inception, and the coming season will be extremely competitive.

To celebrate the addition of Turkey’s top flight, KONAMI has also secured Turkish midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu as a local Ambassador. Çalhanoğlu, who is a Turkish international and plies his trade in Italy, has scored 51 goals in 192 appearances. The midfielder will be used for local promotions and will also appear alongside PES 2019 global cover star Phillipe Coutinho on a specially-created Turkish packshot.

Scottish Premiership

The publisher has also gone on to secure partnerships with two top Scottish league clubs, Rangers F.C. and Celtic. These teams will be getting the same treatment as other teams partnered with PES 2019. This will include realistic updated player faces, arenas and official kits.

The partnership comes as KONAMI integrates the full Scottish Premiership into the PES series for the first time. Each of the twelve competing clubs will appear in official kits and iconography through post-launch data pack releases and ensure that all stats and squads are updated on a weekly basis. Celtic’s massive contribution however will be celebrated with a Limited Edition club version of PES 2019. Fans will be able to purchase a specially-branded Celtic Edition featuring bespoke DLC and content. Only 1000 will be available.

As for Rangers F.C. they will also get a Limited Edition version of PES 2019. This version will featuring special Rangers packaging, making it a must-buy for die-hard fans. Additionally, KONAMI will have a PES branded presence within the Family Stand ‘gaming zone’ area at Ibrox Stadium.

PES 2019 will be available on PlayStation®4, Xbox One™ August 28th and 30th in the Americas and globally respectively, and on PC STEAM on August 30th. Some of you have asked, however we haven’t heard any news on a possible lite version of the game. We have reached out to Konami inquiring about it and will inform you when we know more.
