Kishimoto New Manga SAMURAI 8 Debuts Digitally

Famed Naruto creator, Masashi Kishimoto has been working on a new manga series after the conclusion of a popular long running series with the help of his longtime assistant artist Akira Okubo. The new manga dubbed, Samurai 8 is a coming of age tale about a weak boy who wishes to become a Samurai against all odds.

The manga released alongside fan favorites including; JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Golden Kamuy, and One-Punch Man on the Shonen Jump digital vault. The first chapter, SAMURAI 8: THE TALE OF HACHIMARU, is now available for free, all 72 pages of it. New chapters are scheduled to release weekly for free via vizmedia.com and the Shonin Jump app.

The SHONEN JUMP app experience has been enhanced with a new “Continue Reading” row on the app’s Home screen. This added feature allows users to instantly access their latest chapter read. Now manga fans can easily keep track of where they left off reading across any given series. The app still needs much more improvements, but this is a step in the right direction.

New chapters are free on the app, while older chapters are moved to the vault for a paid subscription. The SHONEN JUMP Vault Membership (only $1.99 per month) grants readers seamless access to a substantial and continually updated digital archive that currently features more than 10,000 manga chapters from over 100 series – almost every ongoing and completed SHONEN JUMP series published in English.
